2010 Essay and Poster Contest The Human Rights/Human Services Commission is again holding an essay/poster contest for students who live or go to school in Cottage Grove (K-12). This year's theme is Diversity in Cottage Grove. Please follow this link for complete contest details and an entry form. The entry deadline is May 1, 2010.

Flood Insurance Information General flood insurance information can be found here on the FEMA web site. Detailed maps of impacted residential properties were created by the City of Cottage Grove to assist in flood zone determination. Maps are available for River Acres, Grey Cloud Island, and Grey Cloud Trail. Click on the highlighted link to download the individual maps.

Minnesota state law, Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005, requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees." For the City of Cottage Grove, titles and salaries as of November 30, 2009 are: City Administrator - $116,196.00, Public Safety Director - $107,723.00, and Finance Director - $105,000.00.
