 Nixle Community Information Service The City will be posting updates to Nixle, a new online community notification service. Nixle sends messages to people to alert them about things happening in the City. If residents want to receive these messages we ask that they go to www.nixle.com and sign up. Nixle allows the city to send crucial text messages and emails out to hundreds of people in a timely manner.

Minnesota state law, Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005, requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees." For the City of Cottage Grove, titles and salaries as of November 30, 2009 are: City Administrator - $116,196.00, Public Safety Director - $107,723.00, and Finance Director - $105,000.00.
