Primrose School franchise owners Mickey and Melinda Arora were joined by City officials on May 4 to break ground on the new school that will be built on the corner of 70th Street and Hinton Avenue.

The couple, residents of Cottage Grove, fell in love with the Primrose School philosophy and rich curriculum and wanted to bring one to their own community.

For the past four years, the couple had been working with staff to find a location for the school in Cottage Grove, and discovered the perfect spot at 6927 Pine Arbor Drive S.

“This new business is going to employ more than 30 people”, said Mayor Bailey. “Good paying jobs within in the industry at this locally owned and operated school.”
We really believe in the children,” said Melinda. “When they come in, they are just wonderful people, and we know they are every parents’ prized possession and that’s exactly how we will be treating them.”

The school is expected to open late 2017.
