The help encourage water conservation, the focus of this year's Garden Award is sustainability. The City is looking for gardens using planting design and watering techniques that minimize water use through organic gardens, native and prairie plants, rock gardens, rain gardens, rain barrels, backyard composting, mulching, and eliminating chemical use.
